Classic SoHo Dining at Mercer Kitchen

Mercer Kitchen is a classic Soho staple where you can always count on favorites like steamed shrimp salad with avocado, mushrooms, tomato, and champagne vinaigrette, and I love the roasted chicken with french beans, carrots and mashed potatoes.

There’s a small street level cafe and then a larger dining room one floor below; each room is diverse but all are shadowy and warm, with original brick and cozy booths.  The crown jewel is the open kitchen.  I love having a bit of a behind-the-scenes peek of the magic that happens here!  The atmosphere immediately makes you feel warm and relaxed, and the menu by owner and world renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, will have your mouth watering way before you can make a choice!  Also, the cuisine can be altered for your preferences or dietary needs, so any of you who are gluten free, or vegetarians, will be cared for accordingly.  They handle group reservations well, so you can consider Mercer Kitchen for after-work drinks with the team, or dinner with the girls.

Don’t leave without having dessert!  My favorite is their seasonal strawberry shortcake or cherry rubarb cheesecake. YUMMY!

The Mercer Kitchen is in the Mercer Hotel, at 147 Mercer Street in SoHo.
