SoHo’s Imperial No. 9

A favorite lunch spot for sparking creativity, Imperial No. 9 is settled just off the lobby of the dreamy Mondrian SoHo hotel at 9 Crosby Street.  I took my creative team there yesterday for a little Friday lunch and some brainstorming.  Known for bringing sustainable seafood to downtown New York, and for its greenhouse-and-chandalier atmosphere, the restaurant was the perfect place to escape the heat (and then watch the rain!), while we all tried the Mondrian Cobb salad (with shrimp and no dressing for me, chicken for the girls), followed by cappuccinos.  We didn’t try the cocktail list or the extensive wine list, but the “Number One,” made with St. Germain and fresh lemon, is on my list for next time.  With their high glass ceiling, greenery, and fresh food, you’ll feel like you’ve escaped the city right here in SoHo!
