The {New York} Life’s Best Residential Buildings in Manhattan

Being a real estate agent in New York City allows me to view some of the city’s most gorgeous and amazing buildings. I’ve seen hundreds of places to live throughout the city, but there are a few that really stand out to me due to their location, amenities and other other offerings. I’ve put together a list of my favorite buildings in Manhattan for you to explore.

Here’s part one of the list!  Which would you snap up?

101 Warren Street

101 Warren Street is a 35-story, 227 condominium, 132 rental apartment building located in Tribeca between Greenwich Street and West Street. My favorite feature in this building is definitely the atrium on the fifth floor with a pine forest consisting of 101 trees that gives you amazing views of the New York City skyline. Other amenities include a fitness center and spa, attended parking, indoor and outdoor play areas for children, board room with screening area and a Bloomberg Financial Lounge.

160 Central Park South

160 Central Park South, or more commonly known as the Essex House, opened its doors in 1931 as a hotel and was converted into condominiums in 1974. This building is one of the most recognizable in New York with it’s giant ‘Essex House’ sign perched on the roof.  Living at 160 Central Park South you are conveniently located in the middle of Central Park, the midpoint of Manhattan, steps away from anything you need.

173 and 176 Perry Street

You will have amazing views of the Hudson River living in these towers located in Greenwich Village. The exterior of the building is composed of insulated clear glass which provides each full-floor condominium with stunning, panoramic views of the surrounding city. Star chef, Jeans-Georges Vongerichten has his own restaurant in the 176 perry street tower. Some of New York’s finest restaurants and shops are located seconds away from the Perry Street Towers and with the 24 hour concierge and fitness center you might never want to leave.

The Lofts of Greene Street

The Lofts of Greene Street are gorgeous pre-war buildings with 14-foot ceilings – a premium feature for New York City condominiums. The lofts are one of the few full-service condominiums in SoHo. It has 24-hour concierge service and doorman and full-time maintenance staff. There is only one apartment per floor and 12 units total making the Greene Street Lofts very desirable. Living at the Greene Street Lofts you are in a prime location in SoHo close to many art galleries, places to shop and restaurants.

The River Lofts at Washington Street

The River Lofts at Washington Street have an amazing history tracing back to the mid 19th century as a sugar refinery. The building was converted into condominiums in 2003  with 30 units across six floors. Some amenities include a doorman, bike room, garage, fitness room and private storage. The River Lofts at Washington Street are located in the heart of Tribeca, a quaint and artsy neighborhood with many apartment buildings converted from historical warehouses.
