The Hottest Rooftops for the Fourth of July

Fourth of July in Gotham means fun, food and frivolity across the boroughs. Instead of lining up along the Hudson River to see the Macy’s fireworks like the rests of the crowds, why not secure your own perch in the sky?  The Macy’s show will boast over 40,000 fireworks starting at 9:00 this Thursday evening and will last approximately 45 minutes.  There are many spectacular rooftop bars throughout the city to get an up-close view of the show here are my recommendations:

Plunge Rooftop Bar + Lounge

Enjoy the 360-degree view of the NYC skyline and Hudson River from atop the Meatpacking District’s Gansevoort hotel.  VIP reservations are $250 per person, and include unlimited booze starting at 7 p.m. General admission is $50 and features a complimentary drink voucher.
