The {Soho} Life: 496 Broadway
Soho was once a thriving art district known for it’s galleries but now the neighborhood showcases a different kind of art: the city’s best fashion. All the luxury high end retail such as Tiffany, Celine, YSL can be found among Soho’s vibrant sidewalks and cobblestone streets. Soho has also become known as one of Manhattan’s best Real Estate neighborhoods. (Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan, Femke Jensen, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos agree!) In addition there’s still plenty of culture and art to be found. Here are some highlights of the {soho} life!

103 Grand Street at Mercer Street
One of my favorite labels to wear for work or for events, Alexander Wang’s Soho flagship features menswear, womenswear, women’s shoes, eyewear, handbags, and jewelry. Known for its cage installations, this Summer featured a monolithic black wave and marble silk screened surfboards, a collaboration with Australian surfboard brand Haydenshapes. This year’s Fall/Winter Ready-to-Wear Campaign was created with the idea of urban survival in extreme conditions and the great outdoors.
{ Isabel Marant }
469 Broom Street at Greene
A favorite of mine for years now, this french house of fashion creates fabulous pieces suitable for everyday life. The brand is prided for chic feminine silhouettes while maintaining its signature masculine edge, which makes them perfect for New York’s most stylish career women both at work and out on the town. Keep an eye for Marant’s most recent collaboration with Ronda Swiss: La Montre. This slimline watch embodies the Swiss-made movement and Isabel Marant signature.
{ Zimmermann }
55 Mercer Street, SoHo
I’ve been shopping Zimmermann’s swimwear for summers in the Hamptons and trips to Tulum for several years now, but they’re finally becoming more known for their ready-to-wear as well, on the red carpet and on the runway. A native brand to Sydney, Australia, Zimmermann embodies everything a woman is with brilliant color combinations, delicate prints and sophistication, an unique lines that will have you stand out beautifully at your next social event.
{ Balthazar }
80 Spring Street, corner of Crosby Street
What was once a leather wholesaler’s warehouse has since been redesigned as an airy space to accommodate over 200 guests. Established in 1997 by Keith McNally, Balthazar’s is a traditional French bistro serving from breakfast through late-night supper. Extensions of the restaurant include the Balthazar Bakery and Balthazar Wholesale, which opened in New Jersey due to the high volume of bakery orders. Purchase the Cookbook and enjoy the taste of Balthazar from the comfort of your home. Note: Balthazar’s does not offer a takeout or delivery menu, however, salads, sandwiches, breads, and pastries can be ordered from the bakery.

Whether you’re in soho for the day, or every day, stop in at the market where it all began in 1977! At Dean and DeLuca you can find a selection of fine food including new culinary trends and little known culinary traditions as well as wine and kitchenware from around the world. Not sure what you’re looking for or want to try a product? Every manager on site is well versed to help with your needs. SoHo’s featured services include Prepared Food, Pastries, and Fresh Produce. Even more, they offer a catering menu and special events menu. Whether it’s an office lunch or social event, they have you covered from breakfast to dinner, hors d’oeuvres to beer.

Envisioned by brothers Don and Joe Saladino, the two combined their skills integrating golf and fitness, and began New York’s first golf training fitness facility – Drive495. Clients work with instructors who have been listed on Golf Magazine Top 100 Teachers in America and receive one-on-one training to improve overall movement matching potential goals. (Ladies, if you’ve been wanting to improve your golf game, there’s a place here for you too!)
