What happens when you take a historic-rail-yard-turned-public-park and add in a bit of shockingly healthy dishes to eat?
You get Cooking Light‘s food festival at the High Line, naturally.
If you haven’t spent time on the High Line yet, please, make plans to! It’s one of New York’s lovely community stories. An old rail yard with no redeemable use was transformed into a haven for nature, art, community projects and initiatives, and, of course, FOOD. So it makes sense that Cooking Light chose it as the perfect backdrop for their Light Up The Night event, this Friday, September 21st.
Taking some of the most world-renowned chefs, Light Up The Night will have them creating “lightened up” versions of the dishes they’re famous for. And that, dear friends, is why I will be the first in line and the last to leave.
Some of the chefs in attendance will be:
Michael Anthony – Gramercy Tavern
Rick Bayless – Frontera Grill
Dan Kluger – ABC Kitchen
Brandon Sharp – Solbar
Frank Stitt – Bottega
Will I see you there? Click here to get your tickets…and do try to save room for dessert.
