Selling real estate in New York has changed. To rise above the competition, agents must be willing to think creatively about marketing their listings. I have had a fantastic time collaborating with The {New York} Life team to bring a target market to engaging events and last week’s Trunk Show with Edition 01 was no exception.
As many of you already know, I’m a fitness fiend (you can often find me dancing in a Tracy Anderson class), a foodie (“I work out to eat!”), a mommy (some of my best friends are fellow parents at my childrens’ shool, Avenues) and a fashion fan who has always had an eye out for luxury living. All of these interests have helped me to build a powerful network of individuals in New York who are as equally interested in the glamorous life in the City as I am – and are willing and able to be a part of the best.
With support from TOWN Residential, The {New York} Life has developed a unique and compelling alternative to the traditional open home that is both engaging to qualified buyers and proven to sell homes, such as the Trunk Show. Commonly, a trunk show is an exclusive retail event held for VIP clientele to preview the newest and best inventory before it becomes available to the general public. The {New York} Life applies that same allure and exclusivity to the open house experience, resulting in an event that captures a target audience and leaves people talking for months to come.
Last week, our latest Trunk Show was hosted at a gorgeous penthouse at 55 Warren, in the heart of TriBeCa. Guests sipped on wine and summer rosé while perusing a myriad of chic couture provided by Jessica Kamel Wilpon, founder of Edition 01 – a creative agency focusing on commerce and product development. For the brands Edition 01 works with, they develop limited edition collections, launch new product categories, and act as a match-maker with some of the world’s most innovative brands and international retailers. The Trunk Show last week featured the Ed. 01 collection – a wardrobe of defining staples that prioritize luxurious fabrics and timeless style. Established in 2011, the collection has grown to include jackets in collaboration with iconic tailor Martin Greenfield, elegant clutches and stunning fur pieces that continue to redefine the “new classic” and complement Edition01’s collaboration projects.
As trendy pop artists crooned in the background, conversation kept going back to the beauty of the home where the Trunk Show was held. The impeccably-designed duplex penthouse loft at 55 Warren presents nearly 6000 SF of luxurious, light-filled living space, plus over 1300 SF of private outdoor space with an Endless Swimming Pool. Every detail of the living experience – both aesthetic and functional – has been thoughtfully considered and taken to a new level of artistry. Brought to life by world-renowned designer Leopoldo Rosati in collaboration with OCV Architects, the interior was meant to evoke the elegant minimalism of Italian contemporary design that’s reliant upon clean lines, rich natural materials in a subtle palette, and peerlessly executed workmanship.
The NYC real estate market is becoming an increasingly competitive industry. The most successful are those that are willing to think creatively. The {New York} Life’s innovative events like last week’s Trunk Show continues to create a buzz among a carefully targeted network of guests – many of which become buyers. It truly pays off to think outside of the box (or trunk) so list your home with me!
Very Cool Idea… I LOVE Trunk Shows, have done them all over the world. The combination of Open House / Trunk Show is Fabulous …
Thank you for loving it Joie! All the best to you!
