the {Isabel Marant} obsession
Snowy days like this makes me look forward to Spring 2014 and the fashion and life that it brings to NYC. One of my favorite designers that totally “gets it” for me and many NYC rocker chic women is Isabel Marant. Her 2014 Spring line just heightens the Isabel Marant obession.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces that I are transitional from work, play or go out on the town without having to make a stop at your home. After all many NYC women barely have a chance to breathe with all we aspire to achieve through out the day.
There is plenty of leather into the collection. She then chose to contrast it with organdy, lace, and cotton. So for every Victorian-esque featherweight jacket in a delicate blush pink, its shoulders—Marant is obsessed with shoulder lines this season—gently worked to rise in soft rounds, there is a second-skin leather pant cropped way above the ankle, with lacing at the sides. For all the nineteenth-century-style lace-ruffled cotton underwear—enough for a thousand Catherine Earnshaws—transformed into that archetypal version of the Marant power suit, a slouchy tee and a skirt so abbreviated it nearly touches the hem of said tee, there were slouchy-skinny patchworked frayed pastel jeans. I always have to have a pair of her shoes or booties… this year she delivers this with conical-heeled peekaboo booties . . . and acres of leg, strappy shoes, and T line shoes to-die-for! Those are the only accessories you will need. Here’s the Isabel Marant 2014 lookbook for more fashion inspiration via VOGUE.
Overall, the loose silhouettes bring a light and airy vibe
The spring ’14 delivery offers a daring mix of prints and patterns that come off effortlessly when paired together
T topped off with denim overcoats, graphic sweatshirts, and tailored blazers, and of course… my favorite piece and staple THE JUMPSUIT.
Love it, and the big font is perfect!
