the {foodie} life: Champagne Charlie at The High Line Hotel
One of the newest additions to fabulous Chelsea is the brand new Champagne Charlie at The High Line Hotel. This chic “Pop-Up” Champagne bar is quickly becoming my new favorite spot, located in the beautiful front garden of The High Line Hotel on Twentieth Street and Tenth Avenue. It’s the newest creation from legendary Australian restaurateurs Lincoln Pilcher and Nick Hatsatouris, who are also known for the secret hide-a-way Moby Dick’s located in Montauk, and the equally fabulous Gilligan’s, at the Soho Grand.
Pilcher and Hatsatouris are known for creating elegant hot spots, that evoke a sense of beachy nostalgia, and always draw a fabulous crowd. Champagne Charlie is no exception. Enjoy your bottle of Veuve Cliquot with some of their light fare, such as oysters, burgers, pastas and salads. All while relaxing outside in the hotel’s beautiful garden, reminiscent of the South of France.
I want to especially thank everyone at Champagne Charlie for the fabulous VIP treatment I got during their opening week. The service is amazing, and I can’t wait to go back! Are you in the mood for a romantic and glamorous summer night under the stars? Look no further than Champagne Charlie at The High Line Hotel.
While out on the town in Chelsea, don’t forget to check out these other fabulous spots! Amanda Freitag’s Empire Diner, which reopened this winter, features tons of creative cocktails. My favorite is the Smokey Black Magic, a spin on the classic Negroni, made with mezcal. For some late night fun, head over to Bo’s Kitchen & Bar Room, where former model, Jeremy Strawn, is literally mixing things up. Be sure to swing by on Thursday nights for live music and “The Jewels Pecules”, a bubbly Prosecco cocktail with vodka and St-Germain.
