Homes Post-Pandemic

On April 13th, Mark and I had the privilege of attending a New Development (“new dev”) focus group in Tribeca. This was hosted by our partner company, Corcoran Sunshine, and was meant to engage active New York City brokers that have experience selling new development buildings. Given all that is going on in the world and always looking forward to the future, developers are consistently looking to reimagine their product so who better to discuss this with than real estate agents?

There was a small but elite number of our colleagues also in attendance and we all had excellent ideas to share and knowledge to glean from one another. Each person had different views as no two buyers are alike. What’s meant to be for one person is a non-starter for another. With spending so much more time at home, some value large amenity spaces (especially in NYC!) while others would prefer private outdoor space.

And this got me wondering, now that you’ve had time to reevaluate how you live your life at home, what’s most valuable and important to you? Are you dying to have a built-in espresso machine? Does your building have to have a pool for exercise and recreation? Perhaps a spa for relaxing? A concierge service for planning intimate get togethers? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Claudia
