ARTWALK NY 2024: Art and Advocacy for a Cause

ARTWALK NY returns in 2024 to shine a spotlight on art’s power to drive change, bringing together hundreds of artists, philanthropists, and compassionate New Yorkers to address one of the city’s most pressing crises—homelessness. Presented by Max Mara, this year’s event will be held at Chelsea Factory on Monday, October 21st, and will once again celebrate the role of the “artist-as-activist”, raising both awareness and funds to support the lifesaving work of the Coalition for the Homeless.

ARTWALK NY 2024 will feature works from over 60 renowned and emerging artists, bringing together the world of art and philanthropy for an exciting evening of creativity and compassion. Both a silent and live auction will give attendees the chance to own extraordinary works while supporting an important cause. This year, the event will honor celebrated artist Katherine Bradford as the Artist Honoree and Aileen Agopian as the Philanthropic Honoree.

Take Home A Nude 2024: Celebrating the Artistic Tradition of the Nude

Also on October 21st, the New York Academy of Art will host its highly anticipated Take Home a Nude gala and benefit auction at Sotheby’s. This celebrated event has honored art’s most traditional—and controversial—subject, the nude, for over two decades. It is known for attracting top-tier artists, art collectors, and cultural enthusiasts, all gathering to support the Academy’s dedication to rigorous formal training.

While the focus remains on the nude as a subject, this year’s auction will also offer works in a variety of styles and subjects, contributed by current and former Academy students as well as renowned artists like Ryan McGinness, Philip Pearlstein, and Spencer Tunick. This year’s event will also honor Jane Dickson, a painter whose globally recognized work has been featured at The Whitney Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, and the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery.

Head to Sotheby’s for an evening of art and celebration, and take home your very own piece from this diverse and inspiring collection.
