Valley Tribeca – Fashionista Boutique on the go

My favorite go-to store in Tribeca, VALLEY is  conveniently located right next to Edon Manor where there are to-die-for shoes. Valley is a neighborhood favorite among the fitness rock-star moms from  Tracy Anderson Studio, local Tribeca moms and corporate power women of CitiGroup.  I was drawn to Valley by it’s comprehensive, easy mix of women’s clothing and accessories in a loft-like setting. You can find casual denim and leather jackets, flattering cocktail dresses, and office-appropriate separates from brands such as Iro,  Aviator Nation, JBrand, NSF, Francis Leon, and more.

This past month I got to sit down with Co-owner, Kim Carton, and find out what inspired her to move to Tribeca and make a niche for her and her loyal clientele.

CSF: Kim, you are a business owner, wife and mom of 4 children; what inspired you to move from Pennsylvania to live in Tribeca?

KC: I  love raising my kids in the city because there is so much going on and so much culture and diversity. I take them everywhere.  Amazing restaurants, sporting events, concerts and so much more. We scooter, blade and bike all over the west side. I love living in TriBeCa because it is family oriented and to me it’s like the suburbs of Manhattan.

CSF: What does a mommy of 4 do to keep so lean like you and own a store? How do you make the time?

I love being close to the West Side Highway and I get out there to exercise as much as I can. I’m a roller blader. I work out on the treadmill 45 minutes a day.  It’s all I do.

CSF:  Share your favorite go to spots in Tribeca that you most enjoy with you family.

KC: We love to eat out and we love American Cut, Wolf gangs, Lavo, Inatteso and tons of other kid friendly places like Gyu Kaku.
