From Salad Pies, Moby backed Vegan eats, and revived classics like EMP, check out these buzz-worthy eateries to try this fall.
Old Rose | The Jane Hotel
113 Jane Street
The chef, Soho native Joey Scalabrino (has cooked for La Esquina and Lighthouse in Williamsburg) cooks with the goal of “Healthyish Italian, with pizza.” From a roster of pizzas baked in a gas-fired deck oven, Japanese-Italian-American baked clams, natural wines and a draft beer from every borough, this spot is a must try!
Ladybird | East Village
111 East 7th Street
Restaurateur Ravi DeRossi and musician/animal rights activist Moby have teamed up to open the latest version of Ladybird- a vegan cocktail and small plates bar in the East Village. Chef Derrick Styczek (chef from now closed UES Michelin star restaurant Etats-Unis) consulted on the new menu, and drinks+cocktails are courtesy of Jane Danger (Mother of Pearl, Cienfuegos) and Alla Lapushchik (Post Office Whiskey Bar and OTB).
Eleven Madison Park | Flatiron
11 Madison Avenue
The “Best Restaurant in the World” is finally set to reopen on October 8th. Eleven Madison Park was closed for construction in June, but Hamptons Pop-up EMP and NoMad’s Made Nice were unveiled to hold its fans over. The comeback is so highly anticipated that reservations were filling up as soon as they opened at the end of August.
