Happy Birthday Storm King! 60th Anniversary Gala

Believe it or not, I’ve not yet been to Storm King but next summer, once the weather is better, this is one of the first things I’ll be doing with my family. So excited to hear about their upcoming 60th birthday. One of the things that makes New York so resilient is all of it’s cultural staples.

Read below to hear more about their online gala and benefit auction.

Join Storm King To Celebrate Their 60th Anniversary!

In lieu of their Annual Gala, Storm King is celebrating their 60th anniversary this year with an online benefit auction that you will so not want to miss!

Hosted in partnership with Artsy, the auction features a selection of amazing artworks by artists such as Chakaia Booker, Alyson Shotz and more. But the most unique lot to bid on? Well, it’s not something you can hang on your walls!

Escape upstate for an art lovers dream weekend and enjoy a private tour of Storm King followed by a gourmet champagne picnic. Oh, and did we mention that during this getaway weekend you’ll be making yourself at home at View House – a prefab, mid-century octagonal glass-walled house nestled on a hilltop with 360-degree sweeping views of Storm King Art Center, Schunnemunk Mountain, and The Catskills? Swoon!

The live Artsy auction closes on October 15th, so hurry up and place your bid. All funds raised will support Storm King Art Center’s exhibitions and public programs.

And if you don’t happen to win the full getaway experience, don’t worry! You can still toast to the art center’s 60th Anniversary by reserving a gourmet champagne picnic to accompany your visit to the property.
