Casa Cipriani, A New Icon Emerges

Just a few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting Casa Cipriani, set atop the Battery Maritime Building in the Financial District. NYC newest members-only club and hotel exudes old world New York with its absolutely breathtaking architecture, grand spaces, and charm.

Construction recently finished on this beautiful Beaux Arts-style ferry terminal that included the addition of a steel and glass façade in the rear. Marvel Architects oversaw the renovations of this exclusive club with interiors designed by the renowned Thierry Despont.

Slated to open on August 16th with only 47 rooms in the hotel portion, the air of exclusivity cannot be denied. I was extremely impressed by all the amenities offered to members including multiple restaurant and beverage outlets, a heated pool, landscaped rooftop and exceptional East River views. A jazz café will be nestled in to one of the dining spaces for those looking to feel transported to an earlier moment in time. The space is wonderful for hosting everything from an intimate dinner party to a lavish, 800 person celebration.

With origins tracing back to 1931 with Harry’s Bar in Venice, Italy, the Cipriani family absolutely knows food and hospitality. I’m so excited for the family to showcase one of the most decadent architectural spaces in Manhattan. What started with a small bar has transformed into an all-encompassing experience that is certainly making it’s mark. Downtown real estate is thriving and this is one of the reasons why.

As you can imagine, there’s a wait to get in. I can’t help but fantasize about enjoying the beautiful atmosphere while in the company of NYC’s most eclectic and beautiful minds. Casa Cipriani, we can’t wait to welcome you to the neighborhood.
