I waited 40 years to go to Paris. It had been a long-standing dream of mine and finally I got to visit the amazing city for my 40th birthday with the love of my life! I can’t think of a better way to travel to such a romantic and culture-packed place.
We stayed at the Hotel Costes, which was one of the it-places for dining and fashion decadence. There I was inspired to buy my backless Alexander wang tuxedo shirt that’s one of my very favorite pieces! Then there was the food: we lived on crepes, baguettes and coffee as the french do, and found a couple of favorite restaurants – one called Mare and one an Argentine restaurant nearby – which served truly incredible cuisine; The art: the Louvre alone is days and days worth of iconic paintings and statures; The fashion: Dior, Isabel Marant, Maje, Sandro, and the inspiring street style! And those are just some of what make Paris so unique.
The city itself is beautiful too. Every building is a work of art in itself. Every restaurant and cafe has something new and delicious to be discovered. The Eiffel Tower was truly stunning and the gardens were so romantic. Another highlight from our time in France, we loved the little town of St. Germain!
It was a trip I’ll remember and be thankful for the rest of my life – and hopefully it won’t be my only visit to Paris.
