This week I was so thrilled to celebrate the release of Out There with my lovely friend Maria Brito. Maria’s coffee table book looks at her personal experiences and serves as an insider’s guide to art and design. Looking through the book, I can tell you it’s the most beautiful book! Maria does an incredible job of inviting you into her world through the stories and photos.
Yesterday I read through many of the captivating pages of Out There and found that I couldn’t put it down. I loved the way Maria engaged me in her experience of landing in NYC and the process of finding her first apartment in the city and being attracted to her first 1 bedroom on the Upper West Side, to sharing her family life and her home as her canvas. I was in awe through every page and I found myself diving into her journey. You can’t help but to embrace the brilliance in how she makes bold colors work in your home and brings a cookie cutter apartment to life. I love that her travels and constant thirst for art and design inspired her to be an amazing lifestylist with the ability to change the way you feel in your own home. This is the perfect gift for my clients to inspire them with what to do after I find them an amazing home to live in in NYC.
Friends from Tracy Anderson Method and from the art world all gathered at Paul Kasmin Gallery to toast Maria and enjoy a colorful evening, and artist Kenny Scharf traded Maria a copy of his book.
