A Pajama Goes A Long Way
Being a mother of two I am not one to shy away from giving kids clothes to stay warm and dry in, so being as it the Holidays I have to decided to team up with a great charity like, Pajama Program and decided to help this year. You maybe asking yourself, “How can I help a such a great charity?”, well its not that difficult, buying one pajama for either a female or a male goes a long way.
What Is Pajama Program?
Pajama Program serves children throughout the nation with 60 Chapters in 33 States. Thousands of pajamas and books are being provided to children in desperate need of comfort and care. The pajamas have come to represent people who care, and they offer security and love for a child abandoned in a shelter or waiting for a foster home. The books complete a nighttime ritual that so many of us took for granted… when Mom or Dad said, “okay get your pajamas on and I’ll be right in to read you a story.” Children in transition seldom hear these comforting words.

Founder & Creator
For many underprivileged children, nighttime often means a hard end to an equally hard day. Many go to bed wearing their street clothes…or wearing nothing at all. Following many years of volunteer work with Starlight Foundation, Genevieve Piturro founded Pajama Program in 2001 to help create a warm and nurturing environment for youngsters living under difficult circumstances. Genevieve’s entrepreneurial spirit was fueled by her earlier company, Genevieve Unlimited, which she created in 1993 to service entertainment companies in their efforts to gain a competitive edge in the world of promotion. A Yonkers, NY native, Genevieve received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from New York City’s Fordham University. She resides in Irvington, NY with her husband, Demo DiMartile.
