Top 3 Cocktail Spots in NYC: Exploring the City’s Best Hidden Gems

As someone who loves exploring NYC, I know that the city is constantly evolving, with something new and exciting popping up around every corner. Whether it’s a cutting-edge art gallery, an innovative restaurant, or, of course, a trendy bar, there’s always something that catches my eye and keeps me coming back for more. In this post, I want to share with you my three favorite bars in New York City, each offering a unique vibe and experience.

Jac’s on Bond

Jac’s on Bond is the latest venture from the team behind popular spots like Pebble Bar and Ray’s. Located in the heart of NoHo, this intimate and hip bar is nestled inside the garden level of an 1830s landmarked townhouse, giving it a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. The design inspiration is rooted in the ’90s era of New York bars, with low-level lighting, warm wood tones, and a neutral color palette that evokes a Jazz Age ambiance. The pool table and banquettes situated inside wine storage caves add to the laid-back charm.

But what really sets Jac’s on Bond apart is the creative cocktail menu and small plates crafted by culinary partners Jeremiah Stone and Fabian von Hauske, known for their work at Wildair and Michelin-starred Contra. Cocktails are inventive, with unexpected ingredients like shiso and sesame, while the food menu offers everything from oysters to light bites and desserts like a creamsicle Key lime pie. The approachable vibe and focus on community make it a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique downtown hangout.

The Ritz Lobby Lounge

If you’re in the mood for something a little more nautical, The Ritz Lobby Lounge has you covered. This bi-level lounge features natural wood accents and a distinctively stylish ambiance. The highlight of The Ritz is its vibrant entertainment schedule, which changes nightly, offering renowned DJs and gender illusionists to keep the energy high. The bi-level backyard patio and street-facing patio space are perfect for enjoying the nightlife under the stars.

The Beekman

For those who appreciate a touch of old-world glamour, The Beekman offers a luxurious setting in lower Manhattan. This architectural gem is known for its iconic nine-story atrium and pyramidal skylight, providing a breathtaking backdrop for a night out. The Bar Room at Tom Colicchio’s Temple Court, located beneath the stunning Victorian-era atrium, offers handcrafted cocktails and an all-day menu in a plush lounge setting.

The Beekman’s mix of historical charm and modern luxury makes it a fantastic choice for a pre-meal aperitif, a light dinner, or a late-night cocktail. The refined atmosphere and elegant design by Martin Brudnizki ensure that you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time, all while enjoying the best that contemporary NYC has to offer.

These are just a few of my favorite bars in NYC, each with its own unique charm and style. If you’re in the city and looking for a great place to unwind and enjoy a drink, be sure to check out these spots. They represent the vibrant and ever-changing nature of New York City, and I can’t wait to hear what you think!
