Spring Style: Look of the Week

There is so much about style that’s inspiring me this spring: my passion, in the new lines that make me feel powerful at work; my gratefulness to be a mommy in fun twists on city mommy looks for spending time with my kids; my creativity, in new ways to layer these fresh pieces… style infiltrates every part of our lives! This season, I’ll post a new style board each week, sharing some of my favorite pieces with you, from the casual to the formal.

The conversation piece of this look is the Acne satin twill blazer with a punch of green – this year’s hottest hue – but it’s the tan leather track pants from SEE by Chloe and off the shoulder blouse from Chloe that have been on the top of my list and will transition perfectly from winter to spring when mixed with different pieces in your wardrobe.  Givenchy bags are one of my wardrobe staples, and none is better for spring than their new leather color-block bag!  Pull out the Miu Miu clutch for evening or a run down the block for coffee.  I love the big buckle on these Yves Saint Laurent heels, perfect for wearing this look in the office (though I would slip into wedges for showing properties around town!)  Top it all off with a Pamela Love rose gold ring and a pair of Karen Walker shades.

When I buy something, it has to be very transitional.  I have to be able to drop the kids off at school, meet with clients throughout the day, and be comfortable and professional in both cases.  I also want to invest in pieces that will transition from season to season and last me years!  Like Vivienne Westwood says, “Buy less, choose well.”

What do you think of this week’s look?  What’s on your must-have list for Spring?
