The {FIT} Life: Your Summer Wellness Guide to the Hamptons

Summer is almost upon us and I’m so excited to get out enjoy all of the exciting things to do in the sun.  As many of you probably already know, I’m a Tracy Anderson devotee – I even dropped ten pounds on her detox program in the Hamptons last summer and danced my butt off doing it.  I also enjoyed several classes at Barry’s Bootcamp with my husband.  It was one of the most unique and challenging workouts I’ve ever had in one hour. – It will leave you breathless!  This year, I’m dying to try yoga paddleboards.

There are is such a variety of exciting places to stay active while you’re in the Hamptons this summer.  Here are my favorite fitness hotspots to keep you in shape and having fun all summer long!

Tracy Anderson

Soulcycle

SoulCycleThe trendy spin studio offers summer classes at two Hamptons locations.  The East Hampton studio is open year round and the larger Bridgehampton studio offers a breezy wrap-around deck.  Shoes and water are included in the price of classes at both studios.

Flywheel

FlywheelFlywheel is a year-round presence in the East End community featuring both Flywheel and FlyBarre classes.  Housing 55 bikes, this is Flywheel’s largest studio.  The new outpost includes all the Flywheel trappings, including stadium seating; technologically advanced bikes showing RPM and resistance levels; the TorqBoard, which displays rider performance during a session; playlists curated by an in-house DJ; and FlyBarre, an hour-long group class including elements of yoga, Pilates and circuit training.
