Leave it to A24 to turn a restaurant into a work of art. The film studio’s highly anticipated first foray into hospitality has landed in the West Village—and let me tell you, Wild Cherry is already stealing the show with a $10-million-dollar renovation. A24 Revives NYC’s Oldest Off-Broadway Theatre District and opens a cinematic restaurant inside.
Tucked into the historic Cherry Lane Theatre space on Commerce Street, this cinematic dining experience is as much about atmosphere as it is about flavor. Designed by Zeb Stewart, with a menu curated by Frenchette’s Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson, Wild Cherry is moody, expressive, and full of quiet drama. Think crimson-lit corners, shadow-play interiors, and Murano goblets that feel more like set pieces than glassware.

But don’t let the aesthetics distract you from the food—it’s just as refined and memorable. From tuna crudo and conch with celery, oysters, lobster, kielbasa with sauerkraut, a perfectly nostalgic alfredo pasta, and a showstopping steak dinner for two—every dish hits a note between comfort and elevated cool. The cheeseburger? Developed by the same minds who gave us Minetta Tavern’s Black Label burger. Enough said.

The Minetta Tavern Black Label Burger that Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson made famous is getting a sibling burger at Wild Cherry in the Cherry Lane Theatre in the West Village.
Cocktails are playful but polished, with a Scorpion Bowl moment (oversized and unforgettable), plus a dirty martini, Bee’s Knees, and the aptly named Sherry Cherry Highball.

If you love design, storytelling, and food that delivers on both feeling and flavor—Wild Cherry is one to watch (and taste). This is more than a restaurant—it’s a performance. I will be here this fall through winter…..
