Tracy Anderson and Christy Turlington’s ‘Every Mother Counts’ Event

I spent my Friday afternoon at the top of The Standard Hotel with Tracy Anderson and Christy Turlington (and many of my lovely TAM girlfriends) at the Every Mother Counts lunch event.  Addressing an important global issue, Christy Turlington founded Every Mother Counts in 2010 with the mission to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for moms worldwide.

Some of the pretty faces I was so happy to see: Tracy Anderson (of course) with little Penelope in tow, Gwyneth Paltrow, Molly Sims, Christy Turlington (!!!), Kelly Florio Kasouf- author of The Super Adventures of Sophie and the City, the creators of Glee, and the amazing ladies from Edition01 and QVC. Everyone was excited to support Every Mother Counts and celebrate the launch of Tracy’s Pregnancy Project DVD!

Gwyneth talked about how she had a hard time losing her baby weight but with Tracy’s help was able to get back to being fit and slim.  It was then that Tracy became more well known, and that notoriety brought her to all of us!  Gwyneth’s support of Tracy and Tracy’s support of Christy’s Every Mother Counts shows the success that can come from women supporting each other.

Tracy’s mom told stories of Tracy’s childhood and talked about how she raised her kids to always be creative and try new things; some wonderful lessons for us mommies with young kids now!

What an honor it was to support such an important cause alongside such inspiring women!

Style Note: My classic white shirt is Dolce and Gabanna, the skirt is Opening Ceremony and my shoes were Sergio Rossi.
