If you know me, you know how much I adore those perfectly curated gourmet shops—places where every detail feels intentional, elevated, and delicious. So when I heard that MeadowLane officially opened in Tribeca, just steps from home, I couldn’t have been more excited.
I took my husband during its first week, and yes… we waited 40 minutes in line with the rest of the TikTok crowd. Naturally, I asked the doorman why there was a wait when the store didn’t look full. The answer? It’s all about the experience—having the entire shop to yourself, browsing without rush, and savoring every moment.

And honestly? It worked. Once inside, we spent just 15 minutes picking out the most perfect croissants, a beautiful olive oil, prepared lasagna, a stunning bouquet of flowers, and so much more.
Long line aside, the experience was truly wonderful. And once the opening hype settles, I really hope MeadowLane becomes a lasting gem in our Tribeca neighborhood.

A look inside Meadow Lane. Matthew Kappas.
Founded by the ever-inspiring Sammy Nussdorf—known to many as the witty and wonderfully candid “Brokeback Contessa” on TikTok—Meadow Lane is not just a grocery store. It’s the result of years of dreaming, testing, and perfecting. I’ve followed Sammy’s journey for a while now, watching him navigate every up and down in his quest to create the ultimate neighborhood market. To see that vision come to life in such a stunning way is genuinely special.

This gourmet prepared food market brings together the best of both worlds: the culinary talent of New York City and the integrity of local organic farms. Their on-site 2,000-square-foot kitchen turns out chef-driven meals daily—fresh, flavorful, and fast. Whether you’re grabbing a bone broth in winter or a matcha smoothie in summer, every item feels tailored for the pace and palate of a New Yorker who doesn’t want to compromise on quality.

I love that you can find everything from the freshest pastries and farm produce to custom floral arrangements and the latest in honest-ingredient snack brands. Their beverage program is just as thoughtful, with coffee, teas, organic juices, and seasonal bone broth rotations that make it easy to feel good about your choices—even on the busiest of days.
