The {Tribeca} Life: Two Eateries to Try This Week

{ Washington Market Tavern} One of the best casual dining experiences in Tribeca is at Washington Market Tavern. Located on 41 Murray Street between Broadway and Church Street, this local restaurant has the perfect lounge for events, and I’m planning on hosting a few here in the coming months! Headed by Mudville 9’s owner, Eric Schwimmer, this restaurant and lounge offers a seasonal menu of shareable plates and updated classics of locally sourced ingredients created by Executive Chef Aksel Theikul, and a collaborative cocktail list by Beverage Director Ste King.

I recently discovered the most inspiring furniture store in Sag Harbor! Located at 40 Madison Street in Sag Harbor, MONC XIII, has something for everyone. Whether your taste is classic or more modern, this shop is unique and fabulous. Curated by LA interior designer, (and Sag Harbor transplant and devotee), Natasha Esch describes her vision for MONC XIII as, “Elegant, personally curated, antique and vintage furniture and accents for the home. Author Michael Gross’s new book, “House of Outrageous Fortune: Fifteen Central Park West, the World’s Most Powerful Address”, takes lucky reader’s on a walk down “Billionaire’s Belt”. Located in the Columbus Circle area, on West 57th Street, this area is home to New York City’s most expensive condos, including 15 Central Park West. He shares anecdotes about how the famous residence came to be, from the rent controlled tenant that would not leave, to a mysterious theft, and everything in between.
