Wellness Trendsetters

The top three trends that made the difference for the Saez Fromm family this year.

Nasal Breathing Tape

My husband Mark has been working with a health coach from Quantam Fitness for some time now. He’s always striving to improve his overall health and his coach, Bryan Mirabella had suggested that he try to limit his mouth breathing at night to improve his overall sleep quality. Enter, Nasal Breathing Tape. The theory goes, sleeping with your mouth open can lead to snoring, which can disrupt the quality of your sleep. Flowing air will also dry out the inside of your mouth, which over time can lead to bad breath and gum problems.

As a wellness enthusiast, I was a bit skeptical. Even though, I’ve seen it featured in Goop and other trusted wellness sites, it does look alarming. It wasn’t until after a night of tossing and turning when I woke up feeling depleted and in desperate need of quality rest that I decided tape my mouth and finally understand the difference. I get that this isn’t going to be for everyone, but we’ve seen a significant improvement in the quality of our sleep. Mark even got our son Tyler into it which has been great for his wrestling and breath control.

MyMode by Tracy Anderson

Being a devoted Tracy Anderson Method member for the past 13+ years, I was so excited and proud when Tracy announced that she was launching her own revolutionary workout apparatus, MYMODE during Vitality Week this past July. Since it’s launch at the end of the summer, MYMODE has worked its way into my weekly routine.

I have been loving taking the private sessions at the studio and how it’s transformed the corset in my waist. It is the ultimate workout program offering thousands of movement possibilities that challenges your muscles to transform. It’s the evolution of 20 years of Tracy’s method wrapped in one sustainable box combining the functionality of the chair, the box and the band.

Forma Pilates

Pilates seemed to be the workout trend of 2022 with boutique studios popping up everywhere in the city. Promising to strengthen, lengthen and tone, it’s hard to argue with a method that’s been around for 100 years.

It’s challenging for me to find the right Pilates that I felt challenged and not bored.

I’ve recently started reincorporating classes at Forma Pilates in addition to my Tracy Anderson classes as an add on for my posture and core strengthening.
