Celebrate: 4th of July Week with the Family

We are already enjoying our holiday in the Hamptons, but no matter what you’re doing this week, we hope it’s full of great summer memories for your whole family!

Here are some photos of what we’ve been up to since we arrived here.  One of my favorite things so far has been our relaxing visit to Wölffer Estate Vineyard. It was an awesome place for us to hang out with the kids.  Parents can sit down for a wine tasting while the kids play in the field in the vineyard.  We highly recommend for families!  Southampton Village is always a fun place to go and has great shopping for kids and adults.  There’s Gelato at Saint Ambreous (in our pics!) on Main Street.  I also love Tenet, a cool his and hers shop that opened just last year, which carries Isabel Marant, Dannijo Jewelry (in photos – one of my favorites!), Etiqueta Negra (an Argentine label – great laid back men’s fashion-wear that is not too over the top) and Zimmermann Swimwear.

Here are 5 things to do on the 4th of July.  Enjoy!
1. Rooftop Bars:

My favorite spots for city views and spirits are The Americano and The Standard Hotel.  Also The Press Lounge at Ink 48 and the Rooftop Bar at the Empire Hotel are known as some of the city’s best.  Jimmy SoHo has amazing views of the Hudson River.  (More info those spots here!)

2. Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks:

The big show along the Hudson River, between 18th and 43rd.  Watch from your pick of so many great locations!  (More info here, and a great list of places for the whole family to watch here.)

3. The Brooklyn Boat Bash:

A team of Brooklyn-based companies have teamed up to get you on the water this 4th, sipping gin cocktails and getting to know the locals, and local businesses.  Get your tickets here.

4. The Hamptons!

Head out our way and spend some family time in the Hamptons!  Check out the shopping, the beach, and the fireworks away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

5. The West Side:

There are many residential buildings with rooftop access on the West Side, so if that’s your neighborhood you may consider hosting friends for patriotic cocktails and a great view, or if you’re lucky and have friends on the West Side, you may be tag along for their spectacular view of the fireworks!
