2018 Styling Your home to sell… Game-changer

Selling your home doesn’t have to be challenging and stressful.  2018 was a challenging market but we made it a win/win for our sellers.

The Game Changer was collaborating with a stylist that made the difference in getting the asking price and above in a challenging market with accurate pricing and strategic marketing.

One of the best experiences and value we were able to deliver in 2018 to our sellers was advising them on styling their home to obtain the price they were asking.  When we collaborated with Dan Ennis of Domaine NY we hit it off from the start.  One of the main reasons we worked with Dan is that he had a variation of styling vision boards for different homes we sold and was able to do the work quickly, efficiently, effectively and on budget.

Here are a few of our listings that sold at ask and above.  We shared a vision, we priced our homes accurately, marketed aggressively and had the success of sales

TRIBECA LOFT

50 Walker Street, Penthouse 6A

Believe it or not, this home was a complete gut.  The seller lived there most of their life.

UPPER EASTSIDE

120 East 81st Street, 7A

Another reason why we liked working with Domaine NY was that they were open to working with furniture a seller already had and added accents and painting accent walls to complete the look of a home.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT

I personally liked them so much I had them do a whole new look once we moved into our home in the Financial District.

Our theme was to have a vibrant and fun home that reflected our families’ personality.  We wanted easy furniture that was adaptable to having our doxies Lola and Dashy and our kids live in our home rather than a museum… I strongly believe for families to invest in their furnishings with kids and a few dogs its best to go for comfort and ease and not too pricey.

We did a mix of high and low and went high on accents from Table to 60s Italianate chair from Flair in Soho to CB2 blue velvet Sofa.  Rugs had to be stain proof and easy to clean due to having 2 wonderful dachshunds that may have accidents every now and then.
